After receiving the fabulous response to earlier WordPress theme Openstrap, I have decided to come up with many more such themes. And to mark the start of the brand new year I am releasing Free Premium WordPress Theme AADYA.
I am calling it Free Premium because the theme comes with premium looks and features for free. I have named it ‘Aadya’ as its name of my newborn beautiful daughter. As usual, the theme is developed using Twitter Bootstrap’s Responsive CSS Framework. We will get a brief overview of the theme’s features in this section. Here is the preview of the theme, hope it inspires you to take an in-depth look.

At the beginning Thanks for this Theme its very beautiful and sufficient.
I figured how to enable instagram button in this theme.
Basically i am not planning to use LINKED IN button so i decided to change it to instagram button.
So what i did was to just simply change the class of linked in button to instagram .
How to do it :
1. find this file “social-box-widget.php” in this directory “/wp-content/themes/aadya/inc/widgets”
2. Open and find line number 168
3. Then change the class of i tag from class=”fa fa-linkedin” to class=”fa fa-instagram”
4. Save the file
Thats it. Now if you enable linked in button you will see instagram button instead.

I forgot to mention , you need to replace all linkedin classes in that line

Hi, I found solution.
It is enough to replace in slider.php each occurrence of class=”img-responsive”> with class=”img-responsive center-block”>
But, I have new issue. The mobile version in no longer available on my mobile phone. The mobile phone displays now desktop version.
I have changed nothing significant. Where to check for the mobile version?

Yes, you can. You need to add css class
containerto the element which you want to contain. I suggest you create a child theme and update files in your child theme.I am getting browser compatibility problems. The theme is distorted in some browser like Firefox and crome

just been playing with your theme, made a childtheme and added a code in the files content-single.php and content-page.php
I found out that your theme featured image has best results if i take one that is made for facebook title image (850x315px) so i made a code checking if this featured image for the page or post has this size, if yes include it and show, if no then dont schow the featured image in top of the post.

Thank you for a great template! This is my start with WordPress but it seems easy to setup basic page with your template. I followed your video-tut and it helped me a lot. Now i focus on customizing this template for my needs and i would like to know three things:
1. How do i setup “contact” page as on your demo?
2. How to disable single page footer navigation menus – it just links to random pages?!?! I want to fully disable them or try to control where each one points because now when i add new pages and insert content, each of them has some “random” navigation footer. Don’t mistake with main footer of the site that is configurable.
3. How do i setup blog posts as yours on demo site? each blog posts is in separate rectangle / box?

– For contact page I am using Contact Form 7 Plugin.
– To remove page footer navigation you need to update content-single.php.
– From wordpress reading settings you can setup what page you want your blog pages displayed on

I’m not code savvy (yet) so i’m not sure what to delete to remove this navigation footer bar. I did remove this

Also i noticed the page doesn’t work well on iPad mini, because site is getting shrinked and for example 2nd Widget Row instead of 3 boxes i have two boxes and 3rd box in next line so overall I’m getting 4 rows instead of two 🙁

I think its not the slider but image. You have images with max width of 1350px and if you are looking it on high res screen, its appearing like it shifted to left. You can check it on this utility http://quirktools.com/screenfly/
I am also having this problem. even if my image is larger than 1350px width, the issue still appears on larger screens.

I have a little issue. We can reproduce it with the demo site : if you choose the menu “Layouts” and then “Content/Sidebar/Sidebar” on the upper left there is a missing image.

Yes you can change it. Try adding below css to your styles.css

This works fine but I have a problems now. The header and paragraph are not responsive on mobile devices.

You can choose the layouts for your blog from Theme Optons -> Basic Settings. This tab has few images indicating how the layout is whether its 2 column, 3 column etc. Select the one you want and save.
Hi, I really liked this theme, but need directions for setting up the global header. I have uploaded the header according to size (960-250) recommended. Made sure title and sub title were off. I am not using a slider and made sure it was off. What am I missing?
As a quick suggestion the video would be wonderful if we could hear verbal instructions. The print is very small and hard to follow.

Love the theme…running into a couple of frustrations using the Events Manager plugin, though.
For example, using their full page calendar short code on the full page template in Aadya, the calendar isn’t full page — it’s less than half the page, all the way to the left.
Is this something you can fix? I’m assuming that there is code in the theme that is reading full page as less than half — I’ve used Events Manager on other themes with no problem.

I am in love with this theme. Just one problem so far. The three home page widgets are in a column vs in a row (as shown in the demo site) I really want the three widgets side by side. Any advice?

I have set the slider image 1450px by 450px but when I see it on the big resolution screen it does not cover the whole page. have of the screen is blank.
But when I check your demo the images resize if using bigger or smaller resolution.
How can i fix that?

Actually I haven’t changed anything.
I just setup the theme and created a page (full width with slider) and added images in theme options and when i checked the page, the images did not cover the whole page.
Not sure why. I have re-uploaded the theme and tried again and same problem.
btw, having multisite doesn’t affect it, right? As Im using a theme for a subdomain.

I’m just setting this theme up for a client locally and have the same issue, I used one of the images from the demo site to based my slide images on, but on wide view, the image isn’t stretching across, just stops just after halfway. :/
Any help would be appreciated.
Can you try some high res image with more width. I am preety sure, if you use images with more width they will fit in small as well as wide screens
Definitely doesn’t work with larger images.
After all the settings my slider has stopped giving transitions. It is moving to the next slider image without any transitions as before. Please help.

Firstly this is a great theme and thankyou! I have a couple of minor questions though. Images put in the slide at the recommended 1350×450 seem to stretch a little horizontally. Is there a way to prevent this? Also the image doesn’t seem to scale very well when the browser is shrunk?
